Fitzclarence Harper
DOCTOR
Dr. Fitz N. Harper Jr. received his medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1989. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Thomas Jefferson University, where he was chief resident and awarded the Robert L. Dripps Awards for the most outstanding resident. He served as Assistant Professor at Emory University Department of Anesthesiology for seven years before entering private practice in anesthesia and interventional pain 15 years ago. Dr. Harper treats headaches utilizing a minimally invasive nerve block technique. His interests in chronic pain include cervical, lumbar, and thoracic facet treatment, radiofrequency rhizotomy, and spinal cord stimulation/neuromodulation. Dr. Harper performs major joint injections (knees, hips, and shoulders) and sacroiliac joint treatments utilizing both ultrasound and fluoroscopic imaging techniques. He is licensed to treat patients with opioid dependency issues using buprenorphine and offers non-interventional treatment options including medical management with opioids, when indicated.
