Anti-arrhythmics, Class III
Anti-arrhythmics, class III are medications used to slow the heart rate and treat conditions such as atrial fibrillation and ventricular arrhythmia. They predominantly work by blocking the potassium channels and relaxing the muscles of the heart. Commonly used anti-arrhythmics, class III include Solatol (sotalol), Tikosyn (dofetilide), Pacerone (amiodarone) and Nexterone (amiodarone).
