Beta-Blockers with Alpha Blockade
Beta-blockers with alpha blockades are used to treat angina, reduce high blood pressure and control abnormal heart rhythms. They work by blocking sympathetic stimulation of the heart and reducing systolic pressure, cardiac contractibility and output, and heart rate. Commonly prescribed beta-blockers with alpha blockades are Coreg (carvedilol), InnoPran (propranolol) and Inderal (propranolol).
