Immunoglobulin therapy, also known as normal human immunoglobulin (NHIG) is the use of a mixture of antibodies (immunoglobulins) made from human plasma, to treat a number of health conditions, such as primary immunodeficiency, immune thrombocytopenic, Guillain-Barre syndrome, Kawasaki disease and certain cases of HIV/AIDS. Depending on the formulation it is often administered by injection and the effects last a few weeks.
