Monobactam Antibiotics

Monobactam antibiotics are used to treat certain kinds of bacterial infections, including meningitis. They may also be used to treat patients who require beta-lactam therapy but who have a serious allergy to beta-lactams. A commonly used monobactam antibiotic is Azactam (aztreonam).
