Acute cholecystitis is inflammation of the gallbladder and is a condition that should be treated in a hospital. Symptoms of acute cholecystitis include a high temperature, sweating, nausea and vomiting, loss of appetite, a swelling in the abdomen, and jaundice.
Drug classes used to treat acute cholecystitis include pain-relieving medication, and antibiotics to fight infection.
