Endometriosis is a chronic condition affecting women, in which the internal cells in the uterus grow in other parts of the body. Women with endometriosis may experience painful menstruation, abdomen and/or lower back pain, difficulties conceiving, and pain during intercourse.

Drugs prescribed to patients with endometriosis may include painkillers and hormone medication. These include progesterones, progestins, androgens and gonadotropin releasing hormone agonists.
