Symptoms will depend on the condition, but common signs of musculoskeletal disorders include recurrent pain, stiff joints, swelling, and aches. These conditions often interfere with day-to-day tasks and may lead to a limited range of motion. 

Treatment will vary according to which musculoskeletal condition is present. However, common options include physiotherapy; occupational therapy; lifestyle changes, such as getting more exercise, improving posture, and losing weight; and medication. Drug classes commonly used to treat musculoskeletal conditions are muscle relaxants, centrally acting, plain, muscle relaxants, peripherally acting, and anxiolytics, benzodiazepines.
