Post-Surgical Care
Post-surgical care is a general term referring to the treatment received following surgery to promote healing and minimize the risk of complications. Post-surgical care depends on the surgical procedure, the health of the patients and the severity of the case.
However, it may involve physical therapy, cleaning wounds and replacing dressings, and medication to alleviate pain, prevent infection and promote healing. Monitoring the recovery of the patient is often a necessary part of post-surgical care.
