Benzodiazepine Sedative/Hypnotics

Benzodiazepine sedative/hypnotics are used to treat panic disorders, anxiety, sleep disorders, epilepsy, insomnia, spasticity, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and musculoskeletal conditions. They work on the central nervous system to slow or depress the body's functions and reduce the activity of neurons in the brain. Commonly prescribed benzodiazepine sedative/hypnotics include Temazepam (temazepam) and Restoril (temazepam).
