Cyclo-oxygenase Inhibitor Platelet Aggregation Inhibitors
Cyclo-oxygenase inhibitor platelet aggregation inhibitors are antiplatelet medications used to treat atrial fibrillation, myocardial infarction, after a coronary bypass, angioplasty, and stenting. They work by improving arterial circulation and preventing clotting and are often used in cases in which anticoagulants had little or no effect. Commonly used Cyclo-oxygenase inhibitor platelet aggregation inhibitors include Fasprin (aspirin), Plavix (clopidogrel) and Ecotrin (aspirin).
