Nitrosoureas
Nitrosoureas are chemotherapy drugs used to treat brain tumors and Hodgkin's disease. They are a form of alkylating agent and work by interfering with the growth of rapidly growing cells, such as cancer cells, by preventing the proper linking of DNA cells. Commonly prescribed nitrosoureas are Gleostine (lomustine) and Gliadel (carmustine).
