Prolactin Inhibitors
Prolactin inhibitors are used to treat diabetes type 2, hyperprolactinemia, acromegaly, Parkinson's disease, migraines, dementia, and Tardive dyskinesia. Prolactin is a hormone that stimulates milk production following childbirth. Excessive production of prolactin can lead to an abnormal production of milk. Commonly prescribed prolactin inhibitors include Cabergoline (dostinex) and Parlodel (bromocriptine).
