Topical Antivirals
Topical antivirals are medications applied locally to treat viral infections, for example, cold sores and HPV. They inhibit the production of the viruses that cause the disease. Commonly prescribed topical antivirals include Denavir (penciclovir), Zovirax Cream (acyclovir), Zyclara (imiquimod), and Condylox (podofilox).
