Primary care provider (PCP)
Your primary care provider (PCP) will be your first port of call when you have a health concern or need a checkup. They are usually physicians who are general practitioners but may also be nurse practitioners or clinical nurse specialists or other healthcare professionals.
Your PCP will help coordinate your treatment and refer you to a specialist if you require further treatment.
