Colon Cleansing
Colon cleansing, also called a colonic or colonic irrigation, is a procedure normally undertaken as preparation for a medical procedure, such as a colonoscopy or barium enema X-ray.
It involves large amounts of water and potentially another substance, being flushed through the colon. Colon cleansing may also be undertaken for detoxification purposes.
Bowel prep combinations may be used to clean out the intestines before procedures.
