COX-II Inhibitor Nonsteroidal Antiinflammatory Drugs/NSAIDs
Cox-II inhibitor nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are medications used to reduce pain and inflammation, particularly for arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and painful periods. They work by inhibiting the action of the Cox-II enzyme, which causes inflammation and pain. One of the most commonly used Cox-II inhibitor nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) is Celebrex (celecoxib).
