Monophasic Contraceptives
Monophasic contraceptives are a form of birth control in which each pill in the pack delivers the same level of hormone. They generally come in 21 or 28-day cycles with either no pills or a placebo taken durign the final week of th cycle. Monophasic birth control is the most commonly prescribed form of contraceptive. Many monophasic contraceptives are available, including Wera (ethinyl estradiol, norethindrone), Junel (ethinyl estradiol, norethindrone), Altavera (levonorgestrel, ethinyl estradiol), Sprintec (norgestimate, ethinyl estradiol), Marlissa (levonorgestrel, ethinyl estradiol), and Nuvaring (ethinyl estradiol, etonogestrel).
