Topical Anti-inflammatory
Topical anti-inflammatories are medications applied topically to the affected area to reduce swelling and inflammation. They are often used to treat swelling after surgery, osteoarthritis, and other localized pain and swelling. Commonly prescribed topical anti-inflammatory medications include Voltaren (diclofenac sodium), Pennsaid (diclofenac sodium) and Thera-gesic (methyl salicylate).
