Deductibles
Your deductible is the fixed amount you need to pay out of pocket for healthcare before your health plan starts reimbursing you for non-preventive health expenses. After you reach the deductible, you usually pay a copayment or coinsurance for services covered by your health plan.
Some plans will pay out for certain services, such as preventive treatments or disease management programs, before you have met your deductible. All plans available through the Marketplace pay the full cost of certain preventive health services before you reach the deductible.
