Marketplace
The Marketplace, also known as the Health Insurance Marketplace or Exchange, at HealthCare.gov is the federal website where you select and enroll in a health insurance plan if you do not get insurance through your employer. Apart from those who reside in the small number of states with their own state-based exchanges, most individuals enrolling in health insurance use the federal Marketplace.
Plans on the Marketplace are divided into four Metal levels - Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum (although Catastrophic plans may also be available to certain eligible people).
