Ophthalmological Corticosteroids
Ophthalmological corticosteroids are prescription medicines for treating symptoms caused by certain eye problems and following eye surgery. They prevent damage to the eyes and provide relief from allergic reactions and symptoms such as inflammation, redness, irritation and itching. Commonly prescribed ophthalmological corticosteroids include Alrex (loteprednol etabonate), Durezol (difluprednate) and Flarex (fluorometholone).
