Topical Dermatological Antifungals
Topical dermatological antifungals are used to treat a range of fungal or yeast infections, such as athlete's foot, jock itch, seborrheic dermatitis and nail fungus. They are applied topically to the affected area of the body, typically the skin or nails. They function by slowing and inhibiting further growth of the fungus. Commonly used examples of topical dermatological antifungals are Exelderm (sulconazole), Jublia (efinaconazole), Ecoza (econazole) and Luzu (luliconazole).
