Topical Nasal Corticosteroids
Topical nasal corticosteroids are sprayed or inhaled into the nose to relieve stuffiness, irritation and discomfort. They are often used to treat hay fever, allergies and other nasal problems. They may also be prescribed post-surgery to prevent the regrowth of nasal polyps. Commonly used topical nasal corticosteroids include Qnasl, Beconase (beclomethasone nasal), Nasonex (mometasone furoate monohydrate) and Flovent Hfa (fluticasone propionate).
